Warranty Coverage
Life Behind Bars provides a 30-day warranty on BMX racing gear and accessories, covering manufacturing defects only.
This warranty applies to:
- Gloves
- Pads and protective gear
- Race wear (pants, jerseys)
- Grips, pedals, and small components
- Helmets (for manufacturing defects; not crash damage)
What Is Covered
- Stitching defects
- Material or manufacturing faults
- Hardware failure due to workmanship
What Is Not Covered
Due to the high-impact nature of BMX riding, the warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from crashes, falls, or impact
- Scuffs, scrapes, stains, and cosmetic marks
- Improper use or modification
- Damage due to incorrect installation or adjustment
- Racing or training-related damage
BMX is an action sport — products are subject to impact and friction. Wear is expected and does not indicate defects.
Helmet Warranty Note
Any helmet involved in a crash must be replaced regardless of visible damage.
Crash-damaged helmets are not covered under warranty for safety reasons.
Warranty Claims Process
To submit a claim:
- Email proof of purchase to info@lifebb.co.za
- Include clear photos/videos of the issue
- Provide detailed explanation of product use and issue
We will evaluate the claim and determine whether repair, replacement or credit is applicable.
Shipping for warranty claims is the customer's responsibility unless the fault is confirmed as a manufacturing defect.
